Overview

Recognizing that health begins with hygiene, the Clean Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Initiative aims to create “NirmalGaon – SwasthGaon” (Clean Village – Healthy Village).

Our teams conduct extensive water testing, sanitation awareness drives, and hygiene training sessions in partnership with local health workers and schools.

Project Activities

  • Water quality testing of hand pumps, wells, and ponds
  • Promoting household and community toilet construction
  • Training sessions on menstrual hygiene, waste segregation, and handwashing
  • Installation of low-cost water filters and handwashing stations in schools
  • Collaboration with Swachh Bharat Mission for convergence

Awareness Approach

Through wall paintings, street plays, and school competitions, villagers are sensitized about cleanliness, waste management, and safe water practices.

Expected Impact

  • Reduction in water-borne diseases
  • 100% toilet coverage and open defecation-free status
  • Increased community ownership of sanitation infrastructure
  • Improved child and maternal health outcomes
